program. And I think it happened much earlier than I expected with this program because they were doing so
much with the sound-symbols and blending... All of a sudden they would look at the [sound] boards and say
'Oh! This is a word!' Then they could put all that together and actually read, and that's happened so much
earlier because of this program."

"I must tell you, I have seen incredible strides in the vowel consonant games we do in the classroom. The kids seem to have caught on to the idea that putting sounds together creates words. The other day I had the word out on the board, and one of my boys who usually just plays around was able to work out the word. I was flabergasted! The kids have started to make words out of letters that are on their magnetic boards! The children have begun to write sentences in their journals. I'm telling you, it came out of nowhere! One child started. I made a big to-do over it, and before you can blink an eye, almost every child wanted to write sentences!!! I don't think it happened as early as this in years past. I'm sure it must have been due to the NewPhonics Program.
I see great progress with the children - their writing and phoneme awareness. I hear them putting sounds together when they are attempting to figure out a new word. All I can say is Amazing!

"I thought you would be interested in knowing that I was talking with our most "experienced" kindergarten teacher last night. She has taught 30 years and is retiring this year. She loves the Newphonics program! She is the lead teacher for our pre-first grade summer program -- a 5 week, mornings only, summer session for kindergarten students who need reinforcement of skills before they go to first grade. She will use the Newphonics program with these students again this summer to give the children another opportunity to learn what we know this program does so well.

We love the NewPhonics Program. We are using the program with seven oral kindergarten children. These children have severe hearing loss but with amplification are learning to develop oral skills. ...Our kindergarten children in the oral program love your phonics program. We have used the puppets, they love playing with them and we find them repeating the rhyme over and over with the puppets. In some cases we have had to modify the rhyme with each letter with fewer syllables. For us the simpler the better. The children love the sound boards and we find them getting better all the time with them. The blending activities are really helpful! We are really flying along with this program - I wish we had known about it and started in September. We are planning to continue with it next year.
